Stroszek

Werner Herzog follows a alcoholic ex-con who leaves Berlin with an elderly neighbour and a young prostitute to start fresh in Wisconsin. As a hopeful escape soon unravels into a bittersweet portrait of the American dream, revealing isolation, economic struggle, and quiet resilience. Blending, humour with compassion, Herzog crafts a haunting, tale of misfits searching for dignity in a world.
