Returning to his family cabin, "The Drifter" is reunited with a friend who escaped prison after 20 years. In the local town they save the President of the Canadian Lumber Company from being shot by a hired gunman. He hires the Drifter and friend to protect him although his daughter is in love with the super tenant of the rival firm who had hired the gunman.
