When Hatch Harrison (Jeff Goldblum), his wife (Christine Lahti), and daughter (Alicia Silverstone), are involved in a serious car accident, Hatch is pronounced dead at the hospital but is miraculously resuscitated by the brilliant Dr. Jonas Nyebern (Alfred Molina). Hatch comes to realize that he has returned from death with a psychic link to a deranged killer named Vassago (Jeremy Sisto).
