Mark and Jez both have an eye for their attractive neighbor Toni, but Jez gets sidetracked when he finds out her sister, who he thinks has leukemia, might be his ticket into the music business.

Mark tries to get Jez a job at JLB so he can actually contribute to the rent, but Jez would rather focus on his music.

Mark hits it off with a teenage goth at a party, and they go bowling with Jez and Toni. Things get awkward when they run into Sophie, who's on a date with Jeff.

Mark develops confusing feelings for his business idol Alan Johnson when Alan takes him under his wing. Meanwhile, Jez tries to remember the "bad thing" that happened during a drugged-out night with Super Hans.

Mark goes after a promotion but loses it to the one person he thought he could trust. Jez, on the other hand, lands a job at a recording studio with Super Hans.

Jez's uncle dies and Mark invites Sophie to the funeral. The guys get concerned when Jez learns his uncle's illness was hereditary.
