John Sweeney killed two of his former girlfriends and then dumped their dismembered bodies in canals in Rotterdam and London in 1990 and 2000. He was sentenced in 2011 and was given a whole life tariff.

In 2012 one eyed gangster Dale Cregan went on a ruthless killing spree and murdered 4 people in Greater Manchester. He killed father and son David and Mark Short and the PC Fiona Bone and Nicola Hughes in three separate attacks.

In 1991, 42 year old Christopher Hightower slaughtered an entire family to cover up a trail of fraud. He buried his victims in shallow graves. On the 8th of June 1993 he was sentenced to life without parole.

David Berkowitz aka the Son of Sam is a serial killer who murdered 6 people and brutally wounded 7 others in the late 1960s. When he was arrested he claimed that the devil made him do it. He was sentenced to 365 years in prison.

In July 1992, Robert Napper stabbed 23-year-old Rachel Nickel in front of her 2-year-old son. In November 1993, he broke into the home of 27-year-old Samantha Bisset and stabbed her to death, then assaulted and suffocated her 4-year-old daughter.

Richard Trenton Chase was an American serial killer who brutally murdered 6 people within a month in the late 70s in California. His youngest victim was a 22-month-old toddler. Chase was given the nickname 'The Vampire of Sacramento'.

In December 1998, The Railroad Killer, 38-year-old Angel Resendiz brutally beat Dr Claudia Benton to death in her own home. He's suspected of murdering at least 9 more people. He evaded authorities by using a multitude of aliases.
