There are over 60,000 homeless people in New York City shelters. Of these, more than 23,000 are children and almost third have a mental illness. This does not count those who are sleeping on trains and benches, in parks, or in abandon buildings. Shelter in the City is a documentary that aims to have a better understanding of the causes of homelessness and tries to find a long term solution.
