"Ganito Kami Noon, Paano Kayo Ngayon?" follows a naïve peasant Kulas (Christopher De Leon) as he journeys Manila. He meets an ambitious actress Diding (Gloria Diaz) and falls for her incessantly. Kulas is trained by Tibor (Eddie Garcia) to become an aristocrat. But despite the privileged lifestyle, he remains discontented as he longs for his beloved Diding and his real purpose in this new life.
