A do-it-yourself masterpiece, with steady camerawork and smart, spare narrative. The alpine scenery is unbeatable, but it's overshadowed by the endless parade of in-your-face wildlife encounters: wolves and wolf pups, Dall sheep, musk ox, caribou...the grizzly scenes made us sweat. If there were an Oscar for indie adventure films, Bruce "Buck" Nelson would be a runaway winner. Backpacker Magazine
