The Cartel

Martin is arrested in Miami. After being searched and insulted, he starts telling his story. He started selling drugs in the eighties; at the age of fifteen, he started working in the clandestine laboratories ("kitchens"). Martin and Pepe were school mates. They went to a "kitchen" and were introduced to Pirulito. They met Oscar, the boss, who promised to pay a hundred pesos per processed kilo.

Pablo Escobar dies and the police praise Colonel Gutierrez since they believe he had to do with his execution. Oscar and the other traffickers celebrate his son's birthday and the death of Pablo Escobar. Oscar asks Pepe and Martin to oppose dropping trafficking at the meeting with the Gutierrez family.

Susana tells Oscar she was with that man because they wanted to kidnap Conrado, hold him to ransom, kill them all and then flee. Mocho arrives and is upset to see his wife tied up. They force her to tell her husband the truth. He gets angry, hits her and kills her lover. Martin is upset about what is going to happen to Susana.

Bodegon and one of his employees go to prison to talk with Nacho about what happened with his daughter. On his way out, Nacho kills him. Eliana tells Pepe she is pregnant. He is happy. She tells him she doesn't want to have the baby and he is upset. He doesn't let her have an abortion and says they have to get married. She tells her mother.

Pepe and Martin go to Nacho's wake and hear he was not killed in a clash but in cold blood. They feel they have to run away or else they'll be killed there.

Oscar talks with the Villegas brothers. They ask him to leave them alone and not bother them anymore.

Pepe proposes that they ship drugs to Miami and Martin rejects the idea. Martin tells Sofia that he had a talk with Oscar and that he didn't let him quit. She is upset.

Oscar talks with Loaiza and convinces him to kill Humberto for he has mistreated him. He does so, but one of his men is left badly injured.

All the traffickers get out of jail to be present at Martin's wedding. Sofia renounces the title obtained in the contest to marry him.

Cabo's shipment is intercepted since they are waiting for them. There is a clash during which Cabo is wounded.

Hugo De La Cruz plays a soccer match in prison without knowing he will be the victim of attempt on his life.

The Cruz family and the Cadenas hold a meeting at Adolfo Aguilar's country house; he fosters the encounter to try to stop the war that has broken out after Hugo De La Cruz and Oscar Cadena were murdered.

Martin and Kevin discuss who could be responsible for the murder attempt on Kevin. Kevin's bodyguard's wife helps them carry out a new attempt on Kevin Izquierdo, which this time is successful.

Martin and Sofia have a fight over his meeting Cabo. She tells him she is sick of that situation. Caremico hears Cabo and Guadaña are in Miami and calls a man from the DEA to tell him two dangerous traffickers are in that city.

Israel De La Cruz comes out of his house and one of his men picks him up. He has no idea that Pepe and Cabo, aided by Colonel Gutierrez, who provided them with valuable information, plan to make an attempt on his life.

Sofia talks with Eliana, Pepe's wife, and tells her she has separated from Martin. Eliana tells her they are heading for the same thing since she is not happy in her marriage. Pepe talks with Samuel about the failed attempt that would have cost Martin his freedom. Pepe is very disappointed in Samuel.

Colonel Gutierrez goes into the cell where the supposed leading traffickers are being kept. He shoots the security camera that is recording these people all the time and tells the DEA officer that he won't allow them to record them from now on.

Martin pays a visit to his ex wife and kids, but she doesn't let him in and asks him after his lover Juliana and about his illegal activities.

Juliana has to let the breakdown truck tow her van since the police tell her they can't leave her it in the middle of the road.

Anestesia, David Paz, Pedro Tejada and the people from the DEA celebrate Anestesia's decision to cooperate with the US organization at a restaurant in Panama.

Anestesia is worried because he knows Buñuelo will kill him if David Paz doesn't arrive. Buñuelo leaves Anestesia a note saying that he will take his revenge on him and goes away early in the morning to avoid the DEA.

Buñuelo asks Cabo not to be angry about the negotiations because he has also been in Miami with Guadaña without telling anybody.

Martin fears that when Buñuelo gets to Panama, he could be arrested because the DEA is looking for him. Anestesia is scared.

Martin calls Juliana to warn her to be careful because they are arresting people that were involved with the van that broke down loaded with cocaine, which they never managed to get back.
