Pablo returns to Miami after an injury and meets Tanya. Reunited with old friends from the gang world, he is being arrested by the police one night during a drug matter. At the police station, his photo is being compared with one of the suspects in a triple homicide that shocked the city days ago. He ends up behind bars accused of a crime from which he will have to prove that he is innocent.

As Pablo is being called for the death penalty, his parents decide to hire a lawyer, Clay Monroe. Clay’s health begins to deteriorate and he cannot defend Pablo. Pablo’s girlfriend Tanya does not understand that a facial expert is not hired. What looked like it was going to be an easy trial suddenly becomes the beginning of a long odyssey.

DNA tests discard William Ortiz as a responsible of the crimes. Pablo’s lawyer returns to the original plan and requests the appeal. More than 20 years later, Pablo has a new opportunity to prove his innocence. But the case attorney wants to prevent Pablo from being released.
