Katana Maidens ~ Toji No Miko

Etou Kanami, who won Minoseki Academy's selection match is off to Kamakura with her best friend, Yanase Mai to compete in the elite tournament held by the illustrious Origami family. With skilled representatives from each of the five schools gathered for the tournament, these Toji in training put their skills to the test. Step forward competitors, the tournament is about to begin!

After her attempt to assassinate Origami Yukari fails, Hiyori is able to escape with Kanami's aid. Meanwhile, there is much confusion back at the tournament over this unprecedented incident on the head of the Origami family. The school presidents are called in and a manhunt for the fugitive Toji students commences.

Kanami and Hiyori are taken in and given a place to stay by a former Minoseki Toji named Onda Rui. The girls are able to slow down and consider their next move. They realize their enemy might be a much greater force than they thought and just as things look bleak, Rui introduces the girls to someone else willing to help them in their struggle.

After releasing Sayaka, Kanami and Hiyori part ways with Rui and agree to meet with the mysterious online presence, "FineMan," in Izu. Meanwhile, back in Kamakura, Kohagura Ellen and Mashiko Kaoru are ordered by the president of Osafune Girls' School to go after Hiyori and Kanami, but where do their loyalties truly lie?

Ellen and Kaoru once again catch up with Kanami and Hiyori, only this time they say they wish to test them. Upon passing the test, Ellen and Kaoru reveal themselves to be members of a secret organization that is resisting Origami Yukari. However, the girls are suddenly attacked by three of the members of Yukari's elite guard and the secret behind their indomitable strength becomes horrifically...

Having been captured by the elite guard Ellen is submitted to interrogation by Suzuka at their temporary command post. Meanwhile, Kaoru manages to rejoin Kanami and Hiyori with the intentions of taking them to their organization's headquarters, but without Ellen the girls press Kaoru for more information. Ellen takes advantage of her captivity to investigate the elite guard's secrets.

Hiyori and Kanami are finally introduced to FineMan the Mokusa organization after escaping on a Mokusa submarine. Meanwhile, in Renpu, Yukina tries to force Sayaka to be injected with aradama, but Sayaka suddenly refuses and runs away. Mai comes to Sayaka's rescue but the girls are pursued and attacked by Yume and find themselves escaping into Mokusa's protection.

Kanami and the others arrive at Mokusa's headquarters and meet with Origami Yukari's younger sister, Akane. The girls learn the truth of the Great Disaster of Sagami Bay that occurred 20 years ago from her and Friedman. The truth of that day is vastly different from what the young Toji have been taught in school.

Upon learning the truth of their past and the meaning behind the worship of noro in shrines, Kanami and Hiyori decide to join Mokusa in their mission to overthrow Origami Yukari. However, Mai finds herself wavering, unsure of her purpose. While the village is enjoying their annual festival, Yume suddenly attacks with the special military unit.

The Origami family moves quickly, investigating Osafune Girls' School and Minoseki Academy under the suspicion of their participation in large-scale terrorist attacks. With Mokusa's headquarters attacked and on the brink of total destruction, the girls once again reaffirm their resolve. With Akane and Friedman's assistance the girls launch a desperate plan in order to take Origami Yukari down...

Using the S equipment container, Kanami and the others break into the Origami mansion and make their way to the inner shrine in order to take down Origami Yukari. With the time limit on the S equipment running out, the elite guard stands in the girls' way.

Successfully overcoming both Maki and Suzuka, Kanami and Hiyori finally square off against Yukari. They are both driven into a corner when faced with her overwhelming power. Inheriting their mothers' wills, the girls make one last desperate stand to bring an end to Yukari and Princess Tagitsu.

It has been four months since Princess Tagitsu cut off the aradama part of herself and launched it high into the sky causing aradama to rain down all over the Kanto region in what has since been known as the Kamakura Special Hazardous Waste Leakage Problem. As a result, the frequency of aradama appearing in the Kanto region has increased and Kanami and the other girls serve on the front lines...

Upon returning home to her family home in Minoseki, Mai is shocked when her father urges her to quit the Special Religious Military Unit. Mai struggles to make her father understand her willingness to remain a Toji. Meanwhile, when another unit is fighting to take down yet another aradama, a mysterious hooded Toji appears, steals the noro and disappears.

Kaoru is serving as captain of an expedition mission to search for an aradama in the northern Kanto region under the orders of Director Sana. Lacking motivation Kaoru leaves the search for the aradama up to her subordinates and indulges herself in some comforts. Finally, Director Sana sends in Sayaka to act as a watchdog for Kaoru to make sure the job gets done.

With each of their missions over, Kanami and the other girls get to enjoy a rare moment together to celebrate Sayaka's birthday. The next day, Origami Akane brings Hiyori and Akane with her as her escorts to an unusual meeting at the Ministry of Defense in Ichigaya.

Hiyori and Kanami continue escorting Akane, this time, as she meets with her sister onboard a submarine in the Pacific Ocean. From Yukari they learn more about the three separate entities that used to make up the great aradama that used to possess her. Meanwhile, Yukina and Yomi force the Ayanokouji president to make a tough choice.

Chosen to be part of Princess Takiri's defense force against Princess Tagitsu, Hiyori and Kanami once again meet with the eccentric aradama along with Akane in an attempt to get her on their side. Kanami works to make Princess Takiri understand that there is more to humans than meets the eye.

Kanami and the others return to headquarters feeling down and defeated after not being able to save Princess Takiri. The girls try to focus on their duties while dealing with their apprehension against Princess Tagitsu and her growing strength. Maki and Suzuka make the case that they should wait for Princess Tagitsu to make a move before they do anything. At that moment, Princess Tagitsu...

Being pursued, Yukari and Princess Ichikishima escape the submarine and make it to land where they find themselves confronted by the imperial guard, but manage to fend them off and continue their escape. Learning of their whereabouts, Kanami and the others follow after to try and rescue them. Before they leave on their mission, Maki pulls Kanami aside to issue a warning about Hiyori's strange...

Having fused with Princess Ichikishima, Hiyori gains the power of an evil god and overwhelms Princess Tagitsu; however, she is unable to control such a vast amount of power and runs away from Kanami. Worried for her friend, Kanami reluctantly returns to report on the situation on Yukari's instruction. After absorbing Hiyori, who fused with Princess Ichikishima, Princess Tagitsu has finally obtained the complete power of the three goddesses. The gateway to the netherworld continues to expand to the point where it has started to consume the real world. Complete demise creeps ever closer as time passes. After miraculously managing to rescue Hiyori, the girls prepare to face Princess Tagitsu with the hope and fate of the world resting on their shoulders.

On the day of the final battle Kanami and Hiyori disappeared into the depths of the netherworld along with Princess Tagitsu and have not been seen since. Two months have passed and the world has largely returned to normal. With their whereabouts unknown, Kanami and Hiyori wander separately through the netherworld unsure of where they are going or how much time has passed.
