Veterans from both sides recount the commonplace bravery and horror that they faced on a daily basis. The war had become not only a battle between the brave men of the Royal Air Force and the Army Air Corps and the Luftwaffe, but also a struggle of science and technology.

    The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton has one of the largest collections of restored and flying WW 2 aircraft, including North America's only Lancaster. They are a memorial to the men who flew them. Their preservation and restoration is an art as well as a science.
