This program explores the beginnings of airplane speed, and the ever-increasing desire for more speed. We examine WWII aircraft to the Concorde, Rocket Planes, to the modern-day Shuttle, to the X-Planes (X-15, X-30), and spacecraft which took us to the moon, and one day, perhaps beyond. To quote Robert Browning, "Ah, but a man's reach should exceed his grasp, Or what's a heaven for?"
