TSUKIMICHI -Moonlit Fantasy-

Makoto Misumi was transported to the other world to become a hero. At least, he was supposed to. Finding his appearance too ugly, he was exiled to the wastelands in the far corner of the world by the Goddess. Lost and wandering the barren lands, he met the Highland Orc, Emma. The two become friends, but he later finds out that Emma was meant to be sacrificed to the Mirage Dragon, “Shin”.

Makoto forms a contract with Shin and is taken into the “subspace”, a special alternate space Shin created. To avoid the eyes of the Goddess, Makoto hides in this fertile land and works to develop it into a utopia with the Highland Orcs that have moved into this space. Meanwhile, in the outside world, the Black Spider of Calamity goes berserk due to eternal hunger and approaches the subspace.

When Makoto regains consciousness, he learns he formed a contract with the Black Spider of Calamity while out cold. Despite his dilemma, he gives his two now familiars names. Meanwhile, the Elder Dwarfs have migrated into the subspace. Surrounded by demihumans, Makoto begins to crave human contact, and they set out for the city, but to his surprise, what awaits him is a group of armed humans!

In the city of Zetsuya, the group meets a young girl, Rinon, who is searching for her sister. That night, an unknown party attacks the group at their lodging. From the incident, they learn that Rinon’s sister, Toa, was being held captive by their debt collectors. Mio and Tomoe head to rescue her in Makoto’s stead, but a man stands in their way.

Makoto leaves Zetsuya, now half in ruins, with his new companions. Despite encountering monsters along their way, they arrive at Tsilge safely. Makoto holds a farewell party to send off Toa and the others. At the party, he learns disturbing information concerning the Rembrant Company.

Makoto accepts a request from the Rembrant Company. The group managed to obtain the materials as requested. Their first job appears to be going smoothly until it isn’t. Patrick Rembrant, the head of the Rembrant Company, doubts the nature of how the rare materials came into Makoto’s hands. Meanwhile, Makoto faces two tests in his quest to join the merchant’s guild.

Hazal and Makoto work together to produce the potion to cure Rembrant’s wife and daughter. After successfully curing them, Makoto wishes them a speedy recovery and leaves the residence to meet up with Tomoe and Mio. However, the three are attacked by a group that has been following them.

Makoto returns to the subspace after finishing his work with the Rembrant Company, only to find a new problem. The Highland Orcs and Lizardmen have lost their confidence after being overwhelmed by Makoto during training. To inspire morale and boost their spirits, Tomoe decides to hold the “Subspace Ranking Tournament”, in which everyone, regardless of species, can take part.

A banquet is held to celebrate the founding of the Kuzunoha Company. Makoto bonds with the residents of the subspace. During the banquet, he slips out to practise his archery. Suddenly, Tomoe and Mio show up, frantic and anxious. Makoto is at a loss. What Tomoe says next takes him by complete surprise.

To procure the Crimson Lotus for the Kuzunoha Company, Makoto and Mio venture into the Tinarac Forest but are attacked by the Ogres, Aqua and Eris, tasked with guarding the flower. Having to protect Mio and the adventurers they happened across, Makoto is cornered, but the group is rescued by Tomoe. However, trouble finds them again when they enter the village to negotiate with the Forest Ogres.

An explosion suddenly occurs in the subspace. Makoto is shaken but rushes back to check on everyone. He finds many of the subspace residents injured and dead. At the same time, he learns the truth behind the explosion through Tomoe’s memory-viewing skill. Now that he knows that the greedy humans caused all of this, Makoto takes matters into his hands.

Makoto should be well on his way to the City of Academy. But instead, he was transported by the Goddess right into the middle of the battlefield between humans and demihumans. There, he was attacked by dragon slayer Sophia Braga, who mistakes him for one of the Goddess’s minions. With his life threatened, Makoto mustered every last bit of his strength and unleashed his powers.
