Onur, who failed to find a proper job and therefore couldn't marry the girl he loved, Keriman, is suddenly forced into becoming the neighborhood headman (muhtar) after his uncle suffers a stroke. Onur and his friends do everything they can to keep their position, while he also tries to teach life to Talat, a younger newcomer to the neighborhood.
