Shaam and Nithyadas are good friends since their college days. Even the parents of both mistake their friendship as a love affair. The two refuse and make it clear that they are platonic friends and nothing else. Later, Shaam marries Samiksha and Nithyadas marries Jaya Surya. The rest of the screenplay is about the problems that arise and consequences due to their affection for each other.
