In a Jaguar and TVR, the route to auction is packed with surprises at every turn -- from the forgotten Victorian electrical pioneer who gave us the toaster to the Essex town which changed its name to a spice that was once grown there. Purchases include Winston Churchill’s cigar and a wind-up tinplate toy rocket.

Comedians Tim Vine and Ricky Grover search for antiques in southeast Scotland. The teams gamble on a mahogany chair and pewter candle sticks, but a very unique duck gives Ricky a problem at auction. Plus, Tim hears the tale of a Scottish football team that inspired a generation of young men, while Ricky gets to grips with the story behind Scotland's first boxing world champion.

Actors Felicity Montagu and Clare Holman are the stars in the vintage cars, and they’re moseying madly around the Midlands in search of antiques. On the way to the auction in Newport, Shropshire, they discover some fascinating Sikh history and take a peek at Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s only major work outside of Scotland.

Blue Peter’s Valerie Singleton and Diane Louise Jordan compete to find the most profitable antiques. Diane learns about the transformation of a grand country estate into a highly rated military hospital during WWI, while Valerie discovers the 19th century process that revolutionised the world of photography.

Actors and best friends Roberta Taylor and Trudie Goodwin set off from Glasgow in two very nice classic cars and in search of antiques. Norwegian silver catches the eye of one celebrity, while the other is influenced by the taste for gin.
