Jeff Cohalan (Robert Young) is a successful architect but a man plagued by bad luck and a series of strange accidents. He is also tormented by the fact that his fiancée was killed in a mysterious car accident on the night before their wedding. When he meets the beautiful Ellen (Betsy Drake) they become attracted but Ellen soon begins to suspect that Jeff may be more dangerous than he appears.
