Lady Chatterley

Sir Clifford Chatterley returns to his family estate after having been paralyzed in World War I. Desiring an heir, he urges Connie, his beautiful wife, to take a lover, but she demurs. Connie hires a professional nurse for Clifford, and Mrs. Bolton soon establishes complete mastery over her patient and the household. Later, Connie meets the estate's gamekeeper, Oliver Mellors.

Connie and Mellors finally act on their mutual attraction, while Mrs. Bolton keeps Clifford company. Clifford visits the mine, determined to break the miners' strike by force.

Connie receives an invitation to stay in Mandalay for the rest of the summer, causing tension between her and Mellors. Connie and Clifford spar over the relationship between the aristocracy and the working class.

While on holiday in Mandalay, Connie receives news that Mellors's wife has returned. She returns home early, just as Mellors hands in his notice. Connie must make an important decision about her future.
