Deidre, an abandoned foster child, ends up on Benson family's doorstep and changes their lives forever. Mr. Benson is delighted in his new role as a father figure, but his mean-spirited wife despises the new addition to the family and plots to get rid of Deidre. They don't yet realize that little Deidre is a Junior Witch in Training and was sent to help the quarreling couple find new happiness.
