Fly Rod Chronicles With Curtis Fleming

This week is all about women and teaching them the art of fly fishing. The FRC Crew and the WV DNR group "Becoming an Outdoor Woman" meet Rick Green from Cranberry Adventures and take a mule team seven miles into the backcountry to camp out and fly fish.

From volcanoes to trout, Curtis, his wife Shelly, and good friend Mike visit Fish Partner's Battle Hill Lodge, taking in all that Iceland has to offer while searching for monster sea run browns.

Fly Rod Chronicles attends the third annual GameChanger event in North Georgia. We'll do a little fly fishing as we float down the New River, of course, and we'll meet with Meg Bulger -- a former WVU women's basketball player and host of GameChanger.

Curtis's eldest daughter, Laken, and her husband, Dillon, bring six of their close friends to take over the show this week while Curtis sits back, reminiscing on old times they shared on these rivers years ago.

Meandering through the mountains of southern West Virginia sits a tremendous, small-mouth river. Follow along as we float down the beautiful Tug River, an area rich with history and world-class ATV trails.

In today's episode, we head back to southern West Virginia and search the tributaries that create the Tug River for wild brown and rainbow trout.

Curtis takes out the future newlyweds, his youngest daughter Autumn and soon-to-be son-in-law Evan, on a pre-wedding fishing trip at the very spot where they'll tie the knot. Check out how well the couple fishes together and their wedding of a lifetime!

The Fly Rod Chronicles crew and a group of students and staff from the Mountaineer Challenge Academy spend the day floating on the New River. Later, they head over to Ed Ray to help the kids with cleanup before attending their graduation.

A winter storm has created icy conditions, making fishing for steelhead in northern Ohio almost impossible. Our good buddy Duane let us know when the ice had melted, so we headed straight back up to chase monster steelheads in small streams.

Join us as we have fun riding along West Virginia's railways to fly fish for trout deep in the heart of the mountains. Our trip downriver continues for a few miles, searching for smallmouth bass on the fly.
