Jim and Cheryl are the perfect middle class American couple. Happily married, living in a suburban house with two adorable (but loud) little girls and a baby boy, they really can't complain much about life - except for those couple fights that neither one can ever let go.

Trying to add a little romance to her marriage, Cheryl plans a trip to the Bahamas with Jim, leaving the kids with her sister.

Cheryl's 15 year-old cat Mr. Feeney dies and she wants Jim to bury it on the backyard, but Jim desperately wants to go to the Bears game.

It's Jim and Cheryl's 10th anniversary, and like every year, Jim asks Dana to buy Cheryl's gift.

Gracie insists on jumping off the stairs, even though her mom told her several times not to. As a result, Cheryl grounds Gracie and now she can't go trick or treating.

When the new DVD player breaks, Jim must find the receipt in order to exchange it. He can't find it anywhere and blames Cheryl of losing it.

Jim runs into an old friend from his wild and crazy days: Danny, now a motorcycle cop, whom Jim remembers as an emcee at a strip club in New Orleans.

Jim agrees to take the girls for the day while Cheryl and Dana go to a doctor's appointment.

Jim plans a surprise party for Cheryl's birthday, but gets angry and cancels it when Dana spills the beans.
