Retired geologist Joanne is searching for her closest childhood friend from Toronto. Joanne has recently transitioned from her previous life as Jeff Whitstock and hopes to rekindle this friendship, hoping to be accepted. The thing is, Kent doesn't know about Joanne's transition. Joanne hopes that, after all these years, Kent will accept her transition.

As a teenager growing up in rural British Columbia, Melisa was abused by her stepfather, and her friend helped her get through this traumatic time. Mel hasn't been emotionally healthy enough to reconnect with Linda until now and hopes that she can rekindle their friendship by offering a healing ceremony to mark their reunion.

Victoria is a musician with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). She's trying to reconnect with someone from high school who could have been a better friend to her. He stood by while others bullied her about her disability. Victoria hopes that they can reconnect again over their shared passion for music, and that Ben offers an apology for his long ago actions that hurt Victoria so much.

Catherine, an artist and retail store manager, wants to reconnect with Brock, a friend from her hometown who helped her survive the high school bullying that nearly caused her to end her life. This friend took her to prom when no one else would. Over twenty years later, Catherine hopes that they can re-establish a friendship that helped them each survive an abusive high school experience.

Karen wants to reconnect with her old best friend, Sandi. They have rarely seen each other since their youth, and Karen wants to rekindle their friendship after suffering a nearly fatal automobile accident. In school, Karen was the only Black student in her class and the racism she experienced impacted her life. She wants to address the issue with her friend for the first time.
