Kyle Vogel discovers his grandfather Bud's World War II footlocker. Bud never talked about the war, yet he finds himself striking a deal with his grandson: Kyle can pick any three souvenirs, and Bud will tell him the stories behind each one. Weaving Bud's complicated wartime past, along with Kyle's wartime future, these two men share parallel experiences in combat. Memorial Day's director's cut.
