Bill and Harper's lives are falling apart following the death of their son. In an attempt to bring him out of depression, Hilton talks Bill into coaching the town's junior baseball team. In his stint as coach, Bill meets Lucky Diamond who brings hope for both the team and Bill's chance at rehabilitating his family life. A revelation unfolds and allows the couple another shot at happiness.
