1. Spain

1. Spain
Tony visits Andalucia during Semana Santa - Holy Week, the week just before Easter - a time filled with great pageantry and excitement. Tony's longtime DP, Zach Zamboni, currently lives in Granada with his fiancv©e and has been imploring Tony to come visit for years. It's time!
2. New Mexico

2. New Mexico
There's something about New Mexico - The great Hippie influx began in the 70's, and Native American populations have always been here. Today, New Mexico has the largest Hispanic population per capita in the US. Perhaps no better way to see the mash-up of cultures that make up this State, than by what the people here are eating.
3. Israel

3. Israel
Israel, the West Bank and Gaza are 3 locations Tony has never travelled to before. Because life in Israel and the occupied territories is hard to sum up in one episode. The intense and fraught relationship between these places is hard to understand but Tony will attempt to delve into the lives of those who live here, through their food.
4. Copenhagen

4. Copenhagen
Copenhagen is home to Rene Redzepi and his brainchild NOMA, now regarded as the world's best restaurant. Denmark isn't the first place you'd guess for a restaurant of this caliber to be located. This restaurant is a rebellion against the Nordic cultural concept called the Law of Jante, which discourages attention-seeking.
5. Sicily

5. Sicily
Sicily isn't about fast food or the fast life. It's about savoring family, life, food and making the most of what you have. Tony will go in search of those foods and their producers and eat his way around the island that long-legged Italy kicked into the Mediterranean Sea. He will be staying in the Villa Monaci, his home away from home on the outskirts of Catania to add to the sleepy village feel
6. Detroit

6. Detroit
Tony steps into the lives of Detroiters, and sees the glory days of the past in places like the Packard Plant, the current state of the city in its wide spread urban decay and the promise of the future in the citizens that are stepping up and rebuilding their communities.
7. Tokyo

7. Tokyo
The strict norms of Japan are well publicized but that's just one side of the story. Japan is a paradox. A competitive and rigid culture gives way to some unique subcultures. Tony is in search of the city's dark, extreme, and bizarrely fetishistic underside. It will be surprising, and at times shocking.
8. South Africa

8. South Africa
Tony visits the Johannesburg suburb of Hillbrow, which still a very dangerous place, spends a day in the life of a taxi driver and discovers the culture and, of course food, that makes up modern day Johannesburg.
