Allen Whiting is a painter and farmer living off the same land his family has for 12 generations. He was also Carly Simon's inspiration for her song, Pure Sin. From his taciturn delivery to his creative expression of the beauty that surrounds him, Allen is the human embodiment of Martha's Vineyard, the island in which his roots run deep, and from which he derives inspiration.
