In the world of Earthsea, the Amulet of Peace has ensured peace between humans and dragons for centuries. But when the amulet is broken and a piece of it vanishes, it's up to a wizard (Shawn Ashmore) to restore balance and stop a king (Sebastian Roché) from conquering Earthsea. Based on Ursula K. Le Guin's novels, the miniseries also stars Danny Glover, Kristin Kreuk and Isabella Rossellini.

After dying while protecting his village from attackers, Ged (Shawn Ashmore) is brought back to life by a wizard (Danny Glover) who takes him as an apprentice. Soon after, Ged is shipped off to Roke, which is famous for its school of magic.
