Natives on a Pacific Island worship Gappa, a mysterious deity. During an expedition to the island, there is an earthquake during which a strange baby reptile is found. The natives warn the explorers against interfering, but they don't listen and bring the baby reptile back to a zoo in Japan. Dire consequences soon follow...
