An impulsive bet sends London gentleman adventurer Phileas Fogg dashing off to prove he can go around the world in 80 days. A chase ensues as a British detective, believing Fogg to be a bank robber, tries to trap and arrest him in British territory. Will Fogg's decision to rescue a beautiful foreign princess from death to deliver her to her family ultimately lose Fogg his wager?
