Dalja's Spring

Dal Ja is a young girl who has never been in a real relationship. She befriends a playboy named Sae Do and asks him to teach her “the rules of dating." On Christmas Eve, Dal Ja runs into Tae Bong, who gives her his card after accidentally breaking her cell phone. Later, Sae Do goes out on a date, and a jealous Dal Ja calls her new friend.

Tae Bong shows up to collect three thousand dollars from Dal Ja in a contract she made with the young man to be her boyfriend for a month. Apparently, she hired Sae Do’s ex-boyfriend in order to make her adversary jealous. Unfortunately, Dal Ja doesn’t remember the deal because she was too drunk when the agreement was made.

After bumping into Uhm Gi Joong, Dal Ja thinks that she has met the ideal man. She soon realizes that her recent attraction is actually her new boss. Uhm Gi Joong believes that Tae Bong and Dal Ja are dating, and he subsequently takes an interest in Sae Do. Later, the two girls end up drinking too much in an upscale bar.

Uhm Gi Joong and Dal Ja will go on a first date. While preparing for her encounter, Tae Bong asks Dal Ja if she thinks her new friend is married. She soon rejects the possibility. Suddenly, Seon Joo arrives and violently slaps Dal Ja in the face. The scene quickly gets Uhm Gi Joong’s attention.

Uhm Gi Joong's wife discovers that her husband and Dal Ja are having an affair. Even though the two have been separated for years, Dal Ja begins to have second thoughts of being involved with a married man. Later, Uhm Gi Joong's wife begins causing problems for Dal Ja at work.

Uhm Gi Joong's wife's jealousy of Dal Ja gets the best of her, and she faints, landing on top of her husband’s lover. Dal Ja then decides to break off her relationship with the married man. Meanwhile, Tae Bong’s grandfather makes him a lucrative job offer, which he refuses in order to stay close to Dal Ja.

Dal Ja makes a mistake at work and almost gets fired. She is demoted to the customer service department where she meets the Team Manager, who hates Dal Ja at first sight. The new boss overworks Dal Ja in an attempt to get her to quit. Later, a freak snowstorm forces Dal Ja and Tae Bong to spend the night together.

Uhm Gi Joong wants to get back together with Dal Ja, but Tae Bong always seems to interrupt their private conversations. The leading lady then goes on an eating spree to forget her troubles. Later, Dal Ja makes a secret confession to Tae Bong after seeing Uhm Gi Joong with another woman.

Tae Bong asks Dal Ja to be his girlfriend for a month to see if she can develop feelings for him. To his surprise, she refuses because of their age difference. However, she does allow him to stay in her apartment, since he has no other place to go. Later, Uhm Gi Joong begins to show a romantic interest in Dal Ja.

Uhm Gi Joong sets some ground rules for Tae Bong after learning that Dal Ja is living in his apartment. Later, the Team Manager's son is rushed to the hospital after his appendix ruptures, but his mother refuses to leave work to be with him in order to get a promotion. It is now up to Dal Ja to convince the manager to do the right thing.

Dal Ja quits her job and returns to her previous employer, telling her boss what she thinks of him as she walks out the door. To her surprise, she discovers that her ex-boss will be her new boss. Meanwhile, Tae Bong has a conversation with her lover’s grandmother about their living arrangement, and Seon Joo almost quits her job after some confusion at work.

Ji Hee competes with Seon Joo for attention at work. Ji Hee wants to be a star at the network, but her boss dislikes the fact that her understudy is overshadowing her performances. Meanwhile, Dal Ja finally discovers the identity of her secret admirer. The result leaves both young adults confused.

Sparks fly between Tae Bong and Dal Ja, who thinks she is in love for the first time. Meanwhile, Tae Bong's mother investigates Dal Ja’s past, only to be caught in the act by Dal’s sister. Later, Seon Joo finds out she’s pregnant just after her boyfriend, Uhm Gi Joong, ends their relationship.

When Dal Ja finds Seon Joo registering at an abortion clinic, he insists that she tell the father of the child about her plans. Just down the hall, Soo Jin is having a premature baby. Meanwhile, Uhm Gi Joong's marital problems reach an impasse, and Tae Bong makes his birthday celebration plans.

Tae Bong and Dal Ja take their relationship to another level, which confuses Dal. Tae Bong senses something is wrong and confronts his partner about it. Meanwhile, Seon Joo heads to the clinic to have her abortion just as her friends try to stop her. Later, Tae Bong and Sae Do finally go out on a real date.

Tae Bong tells her lover’s mother that the two are living together. Dal Ja's mother does not accept the living arrangement, and the couple tries to get their parents to understand some modern ideas. Meanwhile, Sae Do finds out that Seon Joo did not go to the clinic and is still pregnant.

Dalja and Tae Bong try various tactics to get the approval of their mothers. Sae Do is offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study abroad and must decide if it is worth leaving behind Sun Joo.

Tae Bong is asked to decide between his dream of opening his own shop and being with Dalja. Sae Do finally comes to a conclusions about studying abroad for the next two years.

Tae Bong puts aside his dream of opening a food shop to rejoin his old law firm so he can better provide for Dalja. Sae Do tries to get on the good side of Sun Joo's father.

Tae Bong's first case is a merger involving Dalja's company, which causes a bit of tension between them. An old girlfriend of Tae Bong resurfaces and wants to win him back.

Dalja can no longer handle the stress of marriage, Tae Bong's new job, and his ex-girlfriend, so she breaks up with him. Sae Do decides he doesn't want to leave a pregnant Sun Joo behind and turns down the offer to study abroad, which, in turn, gets offered to Dalja.

Two years have gone by since Dalja went to study abroad. In that time, Sun Joo gave birth to her daughter, Dong Hee, and finally agrees to marry Sae Do. A chance encounter reunites Dalja and Tae Bong, and he has finally achieved his dream of opening a packed meal shop.
