Rose Elliot, an American student studying poetry in Rome, is murdered after she reads a Latin book that tells the supernatural story of the Three Mothers said to be witches. Her brother Mark investigates her murder and after his friend Sara is killed, a series of killings leads him to the residents of two of the ‘Mothers’.
