This was the first title in a very popular sword and sandal trilogy, yet it was most unusual in that the two follow-up films, Spartacus and the Ten Gladiators and Triumph of the Ten Gladiators (both available from Sinister) are actually prequels. A group of daring gladiators is mistaken for a notorious band of hooded zealots.
