Antiques Road Trip

It's a new road trip for Margie Cooper and Mark Hill, traveling from Yorkshire to Edinburgh in a bright yellow 1980 MGB Roadster. Mark finds himself enchanted by a series of pencil-related discoveries, and then goes on a bit of a mid-century spending spree. Margie makes a 20th century discovery of her own, splashing her cash on an art deco gas heater.

It's the second leg of a week-long road trip with glass lover Mark Hill and silver specialist Margie Cooper, and they are traveling the Yorkshire coast, from Bridlington to Pickering, Along the way, Mark rolls the dice on a Victorian board game, Margie makes a mess with antique cosmetics and much more.

It's the third leg of the road trip, and Mark Hill and Margie Cooper are braving breakdowns and the brisk weather of the Yorkshire Moors in a 1980 MGB Roadster. Mark falls for the charms of the Art Deco period and -- surprisingly -- a cast iron sign for a slop water closet. Meanwhile, Margie makes a rather macabre discovery that could be a sure thing at auction.

Margie steps out of her comfort zone with her first-ever alabaster purchase and a parrot that is about to make the long journey home. And Mark turns detective as he sets out to uncover the identity of a mysterious lady in a photograph.

Margie falls head over heels for one Victorian item, while Mark hopes a mid-20th century skiing item can keep him on track. Who will get the auction win?

It's a tale of three countries as good chums Natasha Raskin Sharp and James Braxton take in Wales, England and Scotland. Our pair starts in South Wales, behind the wheel of a very smart Daimler Sovereign. At the shops, Natasha gets her hands on a hat that isn't a hat and some Victorian pottery. James has his eye on an interesting shop sign and a dolphin in need of a dip.

Natasha Raskin Sharp and James Braxton, in their racing green 1967 Daimler Sovereign start their spending spree in Pontypridd and end in Monmouth. Natasha picks up a pair of 19th century lusters, which she hopes will do the business at auction, while James takes a punt with a tin plate toy horse.

Fierce rivals Natasha Raskin Sharp and James Braxton find themselves deep in the Black Country. As they hit the emporia of the West Midlands, James is distracted by sweets, but he still manages to find an enormous specimen of a rather famous bird and buy a somewhat noisy antique. Natasha gets her hands on a rather macabre little curio and goes gaga for some ceramics.

The competition heats up for Natasha Raskin Sharp and James Braxton as they head to Lancashire and the Lake District. In the shops of the Northwest, Natasha goes for some boxes and eyes some more brooches. James takes a fancy to some sizeable and suitably heavy items, but a big spend leaves him a little light in the pocket.

Scotland is Natasha Raskin Sharp and James Braxton's final stop. Our pair hit the shops from Alexandria to Glasgow, with James being drawn to big and colorful items, but it's a small-but-heavy object with a mystery purpose that might yield the best return. Natasha has an eye for the unusual, with one item conjuring up a memory of her grandfather and another reminding her of James.

New expert Hettie Jago will be up against Tim Medhurst. They have a replica Jaguar for their shopping extravaganza which begins in Lewes in sunny Sussex. Along the way, Tim uncovers a rather unusual teapot, possibly by famous Arts & Crafts designer William Hutton. Hettie's interest is piqued by an Art Deco figurine of a mouse that looks suspiciously like a rat.

Deep into Surrey, England's most wooded county, Tim Medhurst hopes to make his coin expertise count, while Hettie Jago will always be first to the jewelry section. Tim takes on several chunky antique staples in the form of a plaster bust and some salt glazed Toby jugs. Hettie, meanwhile, makes some more delicate selections, picking up an Italian gilt box and an elegant brass dancing figure.

Hettie Jago, Tim Medhurst and their delightful white replica Jaguar begin today's journey in Henley-on-Thames.  En route, Hettie becomes animal-obsessed, picking up a fairground carousel horse and an early 20th century Chinese ink drawing of some pigs. Tim's shopping is as eclectic as ever with him settling for a granite mortar and a GPO clock with his name on it.

Hettie Jago and Tim Medhurst start out in Lyndhurst and stop shopping in Semley. Along the way, Hettie goes out of her comfort zone, picking up a large hand saw and a bronze three blade boat propeller. Tim buys an unusual nut with nautical interest and a very special coin. Who will come out on top at the penultimate auction in Lichfield?

It's the last hurrah for Hettie Jago and Tim Medhurst, and this time they're in Devon. Hettie spends big on a piece of jewelry that she hopes will give her a chance of winning big at the final auction. Tim buys a slice of a nearly 1000-year-old building and a very interesting treen box.

In the Kent countryside, Irita Marriott and Ishy Khan kick off their road trip in a 1971 Sunbeam Rapier. Ishy finds a vintage fairground mallet while Irita is entranced by an Art Deco French gilded mantel clock. Then there's a nail-biting auction to crown the first winner of this new adventure.

Traveling along the Kent coast in their 1971 Sunbeam Rapier, Ishy Khan uncovers some vintage good luck charms while Irita Marriott uncovers an Inuit stone carving and an antique compass encased in walnut.

In Suffolk, Irita Marriott unearths a colorful, vintage metal artist's palette and Ishy Khan is also inspired to pick up some more metal. They discover an Arabic coffee pot, a brass bowl and a cooper plaque, which may be highly sought after Newlyn copper.

Irita Marriott and Ishy Khan are travelling through Suffolk and Norfolk behind the wheel of a 1971 Sunbeam Rapier. In Yoxford, Irita falls in love with an early 20th century Islamic bowl and then she fine some vintage fountain pens and a vintage steamer suitcase. Ishy takes his chances on a Victorian brooch, an Art Deco coin purse, a Victorian inkwell and a gearbox from a jet fighter.

It's the final day of the road trip and Irita Marriott and Ishy Khan have each won two auctions. Irita finds a 19th century French mantel clock, a vintage ink standish and a Wolverhampton-made copper jug. Ishy uncovers a Chinese bellows, vintage glass salt dish and an early 20th century inkwell. Who will be the victor at the final auction?
