Two-time Academy Award winner, Juliette Binoche, stars as a journalist who goes undercover in Northern France to research financial insecurity. Hired as part of a cleaning team, she experiences precarious working conditions and social invisibility while discovering the solidarity among these mostly female workers. However, circumstances eventually force her to confront the ethics of her deception.
