FBI special agent Danielle Pewters goes undercover as an inmate at a maximum security women's prison in order to uncover evidence that was hidden by a powerful drug lord's ex-girlfriend. When her cover is blown and she's taken off of the case, Danielle's daughter is kidnapped by the kingpin.
