Seventeen-year-old Daniel Huffman is a spectator at his high school’s football game, as he reminisces about the personal choice he made to save his ailing grandmother. When Daniel’s parents divorce due to his mother’s alcoholism, 15-year-old Daniel and his 14-year-old sister, Kris, are sent to live with grandparents, Shirlee and Danny Allison.
