London Zoo: An Extraordinary Year

The world may have gone into lockdown but the skeleton staff of zookeepers can't stay at home when there are over 20,000 hungry mouths to feed; and the pandemic has brought some unprecedented challenges for the zoo's residents and their keepers.

London Zoo is usually open every day except Christmas Day. It closed for two weeks during the Blitz, but now it's been shut for months. The animals need huge amounts of money to pay for their food and care, and without any visitors, the zoo is suddenly facing a 25 million shortfall.
