The Adventures of Tenali Raman

Tenali Raman recalls his past on the occasion of a grand feast hosted by the king. He reveals how a Sanyasi led him and his favorite cat Sundari to seek the blessings of Kali. How he tricks the Goddess to kali granting him the boons of wealth and wisdom forms the crux of the first part.

Rajguru maltreats his servant under the guise of a contract. When the case comes to the court, Tenali Raman agrees to be the servant of the Rajguru. The rest of the story shows how Tenali Raman teaches Rajguru a lesson.

The whole of Vijayanagara is in a state of panic due to the attack of a ghostly apparition. The Rajguru tries to save the situation using all kinds of superstitious methods but to no avail. Tenali Raman with the use of logic and commonsense saves the day.

The king fed up with Tenali's impish pranks, throws him into the dungeon. The king and the Rajguru then go for a trekking. The evil Rajguru uses this opportunity to prove to the king that without Tenali things can be a lot better. But during the trekking the king encounters an attack from the Northern Emperor and other villains...Soon the King realizes that only Tenali Raman can save them.

The Northern Emperor is visiting Vijayanagara on a diplomatic mission. The king and Rajguru decide to give the Northern Emperor a royal treatment by housing him in the newly build "Spectacular Palace". But Tenali's pranks threaten to bring a war between the two enemies.
