After Cheryl witnesses her father's tragic death in a riding accident, she is sent to live with her last remaining relatives, the Lane Family, on their country ranch. Hoping to overcome her fear of horses, Cheryl is introduced to Black Beauty and the two soon form an unbreakable friendship.
