When Mona finds out the pony Charles gave Dee Dee when they were kids is still around (who she named "Daddy's Favorite"), Mona's childhood feelings of sibling rivalry resurface. (Because Mona felt so inadequate whenever she visited Charles because he treated her so differently from Dee Dee, Phyllis kept Mona away from Charles and Dee Dee resulting in their growing up apart-hence the series.)

When Mona and Dee Dee decide to find the perfect man for each other as birthday presents, Dee Dee quickly finds Mona’s date, James, but even with the help of Spencer and Adam, Mona struggles desperately to find a date for Dee Dee, having no luck until she stumbles into Brendan at the very last minute.

When sexual tension leads to conflict in the workplace between Spencer and Mona, Dee Dee and Adam encourage them to close the book on their romantic feelings for each other. Mona tries to woo an artist who is a single mother to the Delicious label by pretending to be Drew's mother. When she fails, she announces they will hold a contest to find the next rising star.

Mona and Dee attend a wedding of one of Dee's ex-boyfriends Neil, while Phyllis and Big Dee attend the funeral of someone they were both once intimately involved with. Before the wedding begins, Dee Dee guiltily confesses her past relationship with Neil to Neil's bride-to-be, which results in the wedding being cancelled.

Mona becomes completely absorbed in her career as she is working on a talent search idea for Delicious. She realizes that she can't balance work, family and friends and decides that it is okay to focus on her career at this point in her life. Meanwhile, Adam decides that being gay has become too mainstream so he tries to turn straight.

When Dee Dee realizes that Mona has become friends with a woman she has had a long history of competing against, she tells Mona that she has to choose between this new friend and her own sister. Meanwhile, Spencer has to deal with an untalented, but persistent, Delicious contest hopeful.

Spencer must control a rebellious performer (guest star Ginuwine) in order to prove he is executive material.

Dee Dee believes she has found the perfect man in Carter (Yancy Arias), until she discovers he is divorced and has two children.

Dee Dee's Thanksgiving dinner leads to high drama as an unexpected guest and a confession take center stage.

Dee Dee musters up the courage to introduce Carter (guest star Yancy Arias) to Big Dee Dee and Charles.

When Mona discovers that her new boyfriend is living in his car, she sets out to prove that she's not so shallow that it makes a difference. Meanwhile, Phyllis puts her war with Big Dee Dee on hold to help her weather a health scare. Also, Dee Dee finds herself enjoying the attention of a neighborhood Peeping Tom.

Mona, Dee Dee, Phyllis and Big Dee Dee have trouble getting along when they all play poker together at Mona's apartment. When Dee Dee loses to Mona she has a hard time accepting that she may not be the best at something.

Mona gets upset when her boss, Kai, seems to take all the credit for the Delicious Records talent search. However Kai explains that she will have to take the fall if the promotion fails, so she has to take control. It is for the good of Delicious Records, not personal glory. The five finalists for the contest are announced

Mona has her leadership skills put to an impromptu test when her boss leaves her in charge of her fellow employees at the company’s bonding retreat. Meanwhile, as Big Dee Dee ramps up for opening night of her play, Dee Dee manipulates her mom in order to schmooze a legal idol of hers who happens to be the wife of Big Dee Dee’s co-star.

Mona has trouble getting producers to judge the Delicious Talent contest that she is overseeing and Dee Dee loses the position she thought she had at her law firm. However, both girls decide to try to fix their problems without the help of their dad or boss.

Mona panics when her boss tells her she must work with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis to pick the winner from among the five finalists.

After Mona discovers Dee Dee has secretly gotten back together with her older exboyfriend Carter, she is disappointed that Dee Dee didn’t trust her enough to tell her. Meanwhile, Big Dee Dee and Dee Dee are devastated when their treasured hairstylist relocates to a different state.

When Dee Dee turns down Mona's request for a favor, Mona regrets telling her not to let people take advantage of her.

When Mona is offered a different job at another record label, she must decide whether to stay or move on.

When Big Dee Dee crashes Phyllis' charity telethon meeting, Phyllis loses it and tells everyone that Big Dee Dee was pregnant before she married Charles.

When Phyllis gets into trouble with her Homeowner's Association, Dee Dee defends her, but winds up causing more trouble.

As law school graduation draws near, Dee Dee feels pressure because she has no job yet; Mona panics when Phyllis finds a fantastic apartment in her neighborhood.
