Chance in a Million

Fittingly, Tom Chance and Alison Little meet by coincidence. Tom has set up a blind date, while Alison has planned to reconnect with her estranged cousin. Shenanigans ensue when the pair goes on a date at a French restaurant.

Alison's parents are distraught when she arrives home from a date with Tom in nothing but a fur coat and her underwear. Further mayhem unfolds for the Littles, involving a gaggle of lady cricketers, a tuba, and a rabid dog.

Alison pays a visit to Tom and finds him conducting an impromptu memorial service for his deceased hamster. Then, after a disastrous trip to the bank, Tom arrives home to find Alison intent on seducing him.

Planning a large birthday party for Alison is the perfect way for Tom to show his love--and to invite all sorts of ruinous elements into the process, including a stolen fur coat, a punch ball, and dozens of strangers.

Alison's cousin, Thomas, joins the couple to see a concert. But a series of confrontations and fistfights at a bar leads Thomas to cower in fear of Tom's apparent temper and drunkenness, both of which are, of course, misunderstandings.

With Alison living in his flat temporarily, Tom can't understand her hesitance to search for her own place. Meanwhile, Alison's attempt to illuminate the benefits of cohabitation goes horribly awry.
