Grayson Perry: Who Are You?

Artist Grayson Perry is meeting four people at a point of cataclysmic change - a disgraced ex-politician, a reality show winner, a trans man and a white mom converting to Islam. He hopes to redefine them through art, to find out who you are when you lose your identity or take on a new one. How will they react when Perry creates a portrait that manifests the maelstrom of their transforming lives?

Part artist, part anthropologist, British national treasure Grayson Perry explores identity through family - meeting the “Jesus Army”, a group of lost souls seeking belonging, a white gay male couple adopting a mixed race child. And Alzheimers sufferer Christopher. What happens to identity when memory is stripped away? It’s a show that’s as warm and idiosyncratic as the portraits Perry produces.

Artist Grayson Perry seeks to explore modern identity by meeting and creating a defining portrait of three unique tribes - a group of protestants in Northern Ireland, contestants in the Miss Plus Size International competition, and a group of hearing impaired parents who claim no disability.
