In the 1970s, John Lennon and Yoko Ono spent 18 months in a Greenwich Village apartment, absorbing the New York scene and watching a lot of TV. Both things would shape the music they were making and their activism too – culminating in Lennon’s only full-length post-Beatles performance, the “One to One” benefit concert at Madison Square Garden.
