Saki doesn't understand why she was taken to play mahjong but that's where Saki and Nodoka met. Nodoka wins but questions Saki's playing style so she asks for another game.

Even though winning has been a difficult feat for Saki, Hisa proposes a mini-match to test Saki's true potential and reveal her hidden ability. In a powerful performance, Saki blows away Hisa's expectations, but was it too much for Nodoka?

Everyone senses that Nodoka feels uneasy when Saki plays. When it’s certain that the problem takes a turn, Nodoka explodes! Meanwhile, Hisa and Mako are nominated by their prefecture to participate in a high school’s mahjong tournament

The day is drawing near for the National Mahjong Tournament for the prefectural nominations. Saki and Nodoka are at Mako’s house helping with the family’s store. Hisa begins to talk about the training when she really has something up her sleeve.

In order to blow out the other teams at the prefectural qualifiers, training camp has started. Saki and Yuki are on their journey for their special training but in the meantime are enjoying themselves in an open air bath and dining on a delicious meal. Nodoka who is also part of the special training begins to think like Hisa which has caused her to become timid in her play.

The prefectural nominations have finally begun! The girls from the favorites such as Kazekoshi slowly began to fill up the meeting area. That's when Saki strayed away from the group. During her solitude, she saw a member from last year's team championship from Ryuumonbuchi High School.

Nodoka brought her stuffed penguin to the competition room. Those who noticed this were creating a commotion and eyes were fixed on Nodoka as some seemed irritated. It looked like the only person having fun with this was Hisa.

Kiyosumi High School advanced to the next round of the National prefectural nominations. They all get to travel around the country together! Saki and Hisa experienced these feelings together. However, the players at Ryuumonbuchi, Kazekoshi, and Tsuruga refuse to be defeated!

The finals have started and Kiyosumi's mahjong club is in a state of panic! Tacos, the source of Yuki's power, was taken away. In shock, her sadness was seen during her plays. The match is with Kazekoshi's captain!!!

Immediately following the commencement of the next match, Mako took off her glasses. With her blurred vision, she was reminded of an important game from the past which appeared right before her eyes. Those images are helpful when in critical situations.

Hisa obviously starts the next match at a disadvantage. However, her style is claiming victory by confusing her opponents. She wants to overwhelm them and jump into first place. Ryuumonbuchi falls into last place and Kunihiro begins to feel...

The main part of the competition has ended. Kazekoshi's Bundo was unable to maintain their lead. Just when she saw their captain Fukuji running toward her, tears began to pour out. Fukuji embraced the grieving Bundo!

Nodoka played with such high tension that her health began to suffer. Slowly, her heart was filled with many feelings but she eventually felt better. Touka Ryumonbuchi was happy to finally meet her arch rival.

Nodoka is playing at a steady pace gaining points for her team. She is quickly advancing but Touka Ryumonbuchi will give her a hard time. Touka prevents Nodoka from having her "perfect game" resulting in extending the game.

Finally, it's the last match of the prefectural team competition. It all depends on these four players. Kiyosumi's, Saki Miyanaga;Kazekoshi's, Kana Ikeda; Tsuruga's, Yumi Kajiki; and last year's MVP Ryumonbuchi's, Koromo Amae. The game is on!

No matter how many tiles pile up, Saki, Ikeda, and Kajiki can't seem to advance. It's like being dragged along the bottom of an ocean. Amae Koromo seems to be the only one who is able to keep up....The nightmare begins...

Amae Koromo’s powerful lead ends the first half of the match. She is keeping the other schools as far as possible. Most of the players haven’t been able to hide their state of shock from what just went on. Ikeda cuddles up to Fukuji; Momoko encourages Kajiki; Saki and Hisa hold hands and make a promise together. So, begins the second half.

Ikeda encountered a dilemma. They were the lowest ranked, and it seems they won't recovery from the point spread. Despite Ikeda's desperate condition, she was very determined to continue fighting as to come out on top. Saki, on the other hand, recalled her original playing style and naturally returned to it.

Amae Koromo prevented Saki from extending the game. The scene became more and more tense as there was an overwhelming point spread where Amae Koromo was far ahead putting pressure on Kajiki, Ikeda, and Saki.The prefectural competition's finals, the last battle is about to begin.

Kiyosumi High School mahjong members are instructed by the captain of the club to bring their swimwear for a special training session at the Sportsland Pool. Nodoka and Saki show off how beautiful they are in their swimsuits, attracting people and attention from all directions...

Prefectural Representative Selection Ceremony for the individual competition has begun! Few turn out for the presentation, as preparation is the number one priority. As the names of the competitors are placed on the board, the Kiyosumi Mahjong Clubs vows to give it their all and focus on their training for the competition ahead. Meanwhile, a figure lurks in the shadows...

The second day of the individual competition has begun. Team competition results have demonstrated that these players deserve the top rankings, however the individual competition is a different field...Before long, the morning competition comes to and ending, and upon checking the ranking, Nodoka can't believe what she sees.

We finally welcome the Nationals for the individual tournaments. Saki needs to regain her strength with the ones that remain in this tough competition. Momoko goes into stealth mode for the strong, hard battle. At that time, Saki recalls the intensive training she had during training camp.

Everyone decides to go to the summer festival to have fun, however Yuki must remain behind because she failed her final exam. Saki and Nodoka agree to stay back and help Yuki, however she is having a bit of trouble concentrating. During the same time, the Ryumonbuchi, Kazekoshi and Tsuruga clubs, each received a letter from Hisa...
