Raphael's Widow

In this first episode, we discover Raphael's history. His transsexual widow suffers the denial of her husband's family.

Raphael's family, ashamed of the past he shared with Nina, is determined to make her disappear from their lives. Ela contacts a lawyer to fight for her rights.

Nina is advised to start an inheritance lawsuit. Meanwhile Raphael's brother usurps a property that does not belong to him, where the couple used to live.

A few days before the funeral, Nina tries to become independent and enter the labor market. Raphael's family is looking for strategies to get out of the complicated economic situation in which they find themselves.

Raphael's mother, hurt by the guilt of how she raised her children, decides to put an end to her suffering. Nina recovers part of her belongings thanks to a court ruling and moves out on her own.

There is a tense atmosphere at Raphael's family home. The mother takes refuge in religion. By contrast, Nina pulls herself together and her new life improves. In this context, the trial begins.

The transsexual condition in the family environment, the discovery of a lie and the reaffirmation of dignity, are the main themes embodied in the context of Nina's friends.

Raphael's family friendship with the judge in the inheritance trial worsens Nina's situation until she receives the help of Juan Cuevas, brother-in-law of the deceased.

Tania (Raphael's cousin) is linked to prostitution by Josema, who decides to leave this subjugation behind. At the hearing, the two parties meet and a confrontation is provoked.

Juan Cuevas and her lover's affair is interrupted by the intelligence of Thomas (her husband) who unmasks the lawyer. Nina's boss advances in his mission to conquer her.

At the anniversary of Raphael's death, Nina faces her new reality in peace. Thomas surprises her.

Near the end of the trial some things begin to straighten out. Susy makes public the psychological mistreatment received by public authorities. Nina successfully undertakes a business.

The verdict is announced and Nina comes out of the trial triumphant. She realizes her dream and opens her own restaurant in which she hires Raphael's mother.
