Day Dreamers

Rapha presents his routine and Miguel's, his father whom he has strong identification with. But his mother no longer accepts Miguel's behavior, an endless unemployed bohemian man. At school, Rapha is bullied due to his androgynous style.

Miguel drinks at the bar with friends and flirts with girls next to Rapha. The father ends up having an accident, and Raphas mother, Angela, will pressure her husband until she finds out the whole truth.

Expelled from home by his wife, Miguel moves to a friend's repair shop. Rapha is devastated. His mother finds a job. Angelas mother, Elizabeth, visits them. Sleeping over Zinhos, Miguel discovers all his money has gone. He accuses Zinho.

Miguel and Zinho argue. He accuses his client. Miguel finds the man on the street and chases him. Miguels mother arrives from the countryside to help him. They find Miguel an old dirty pension room. Rapha is beaten by his colleagues.

Rapha meets his grandma Agustina. Angela, drunk, brings a guy home. Rapha visits his father and gives him the family dog, Janis. On his birthday, Rafa receives friends at home. Luana, the prettiest girl in school, shows she's interested in him. His friend Anita doesn't like it.

Miguel asks his son to be forgiven: he forgot his birthday. Rapha is hurt. Angela seems in love with someone. Miguel gifts his son to apologize. He meets Raphas pretty teacher, Lady Jane. Luana's father offers Miguel a job.

Miguel is depressed at his room. He argues with his mother. Agustina, his friend Priscila and Rapha make him go out and do some portraits. Lady Jane praises Miguel';s work. Angela receives her new boyfriend home. Rapha doesn't like it. He tries to reconnect with Anita. A tragedy happens in Rapha's family.

Recovered, Miguel paints Lady Jane's portrait. He kisses Jane at school. Everyone watches it. Angela sings in the restaurant. Miguel and Jane watch her with Rapha. Angela';s boyfriend has a fit of jealousy. Angela and Miguel argue. Miguel visits Angela. Rafa gathers his drawings and thinks about life.
