Two's Company

Dorothy is a successful American thriller writer who has settled in England and looking for someone to run her household. Robert, a perfect butler applies and the two quickly establish their contrasting views but opposites attract.

Dorothy has a typical American attitude when it comes to money. When Robert asks for an increase in the housekeeping, she refuses. But he is not one to take defeat lying down, and he prepares a dinner with a difference for Dorothy and her guests.

Dorothy would like to have two wall-lamps installed in her flat. Robert claims to know a good electrician, but Dorothy assumes that he is only suggesting him so that he'll get a percentage from his colleague. She decides to play him at his own game.

Robert injures an ankle but when the doctor doesn't arrive, Dorothy calls an ambulance. Fed up with waiting, she resorts to driving him to the hospital herself. She is shocked by the NHS system and decides to put him in a luxury private nursing home.

Dorothy is being pursued by Sir Percy Tundle and she doesn't welcome his advances. After Robert promises not to leave her alone with Sir Percy, he disappears to watch the cricket! Will Dorothy forgive him?

Robert mentions to Dorothy that his over-bearing mother will be passing through London. With malicious intent, Dorothy invites her to stay. But it seems Dorothy had not anticipated Mrs Hillier, and wishes she could take back her words!
