A relic unearthed in a Madagascar shipwreck launches Barry Clifford and Scott Wolter on a world-wide investigation to find out if there's a link between 17th-century pirates and the medieval Knights Templar.

Scott follows the trail to Portugal and learns information that breaks the investigation wide open. In Madagascar, Barry switches focus to a wreck he believes is Captain Kidd's warship.

Barry and Scott learn the meaning behind one of the symbols on the prized metal ingot they believe belonged to Captain Kidd, leading them closer to a Templar-Pirate connection-and lost treasure.
