Set in 1970s rural Maharashtra, Shala is a nostalgic coming-of-age tale of four friends - Surya, Chitrya, Favdya, and Joshi. Clueless about his future, Joshi quietly nurses a secret crush on classmate Shirodkar, trying everything to convey his true feelings. As his friends go through similar situations, Shala tenderly captures a beautiful, aching emotion tied to a very specific, unforgettable age.
